It is so lovely to see the Club getting back to what it does best: providing fun, chat, skills and challenge for every type of paddler.
This Sunday, we had kayaks, paddleboards and canoes out on the water. The coaches were on fine form, leading sessions tailored to suit our different members from beginners to those who wanted to tackle surfing the waves. Thanks to our new Awards Officer, we also delivered the Club’s first British Canoeing Paddle Explore award. This award can be done in any craft (kayak, canoe or SUP) and it aims to help people become more aware of the environment they are paddling in – from tides and weather to accessing the water – enabling them to be an active member of any trip.
But best of all, was seeing everyone gathered on the slipway chatting and being a proper, sociable Club – a Club that is made up of people ready to enjoy being together whether near, on or in the water.
Thanks to our Treasurer for the photography.
