Come and join us for some camping at Boathouse Farm near Barcombe.

This event is open to CVCC members and their family and friends. This is a great social occasion to get to know other club members and there are plenty of activities locally for non paddler too.

This is for camping in tents only, all vehicles have to be parked in the nearby on-site car park. The site is right next to the river Ouse for some paddling. More information on the Campsite by clicking here)

There are basic washing up facilities and showers and toilets.

The weekend is suitable for all ages and abilities and will be lots of fun.

The cost will be £20 per adult & £10 per child per night and booking needs to be made directly with Boathouse Farm:

Please add “CVCC” in the additional information box.

If you need to borrow any club kit, please complete a loan form, but please be aware that you will need to be able to transport this yourself. We would need at least 2 weeks notice to ensure appropriate vessel is selected with necessary gear (BA, Paddle, Cag, etc) and is adjusted. Collection can be arranged closer to the date.

If you have any questions or want to confirm your place, please email

Please also book your space with us below, so that we know who is coming along, but please note that this does not confirm your booking, you must book directly with the campsite to ensure they have enough spaces.

Put in/Take out: To be communicated closer to the trip.

Water conditions: 1-2 km to the Anchor, About 5 km to the Falls. It would be a gentle relaxing paddle. The paddling is suitable for canoes, SUPs and kayaks. This is a very slow moving river, very easy to paddle and would certainly feel safe bring the children along. Many people use it, we saw other SUPers, swimmers and young families turning up with inflatable dinghies.

Sights and features on the trip: The river is full of wildlife, we saw a couple of Kingfishers, Swans, Geese and a load animals along the way, the odd cow and sheep too. There has been sightings of Mink as well as other wild life.
The river has a large amount of trees and foliage running along it, there were a few location we had to duck to get past, and only on a few occasions could you see over the river banks.

What to bring: To be communicated closer to the trip.
