A great trip to explore the river at Bodiam, a paddle and picnic at Bodiam Castle before returning to our launch point.
The club can only leave 1 car at the boating station, so we will need to organise a shuttle once there – details on parkign locations will be given on the day. We need to be on the water by 10am so this will give us some time to plan once at the meeting place. Please be aware that arrangements to share travel to the launch point, and then shuttle arrangements are not organised by the club and are up to individuals due to COVID-19 public health guidance.
Bring a picnic if you want to eat when we stop at Bodiam Castle.
There is a cafe at the Boating Station if you want to buy something to eat and drink after our paddle.
Paddle time to Bodiam Castle is approximately 1.5 hours so we will allow 2 hours each way and up to an hour at the castle for lunch or a visit if you want.
We will aim to be off the water by 3pm.
If you want to join this trip but need to hire a club boat, please download the booking form, complete and email to darren@cvcc.org.uk. It will not be possible to collect a boat on Sunday morning as the club will not be open early enough. Therefore you will need to complete a booking form as soon as possible so arrangements can be made in time.
There are places for 15 people. There will be a mix of people in kayaks and on SUPs.
There is a £5 charge for boat/SUP to launch at the Boating Station as it is a private jetty. Please bring cash with you on the day.
