🌊🚣 Experience the fun of paddling with Cuckmere Valley Canoe Club (CVCC), your local paddle sport club! 🚣🌊
Join us for a “Come and Try-it” session where you can experience the world of CVCC, either kayaking or paddle boarding. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced paddler, this is your opportunity to glide across the water, surrounded by stunning scenery and like minded people.

 

📅 Date: Bi-weekly Wednesdays from May to August

🕗 Time: 18:00 – 20:00

📍Location: Seven Sister Canoe Centre, Seaford, BN25 4AD

Please reserve your place using the booking form below. Please book a ticket for either Kayak or SUP so we know who needs what. 

What to Expect:

🛶 Introduction to Paddling with Cuckmere Valley Canoe Club: Our experienced volunteer coaches will take you out on the water for a taster club session.  You can choose between kayaking and paddleboarding.

🌟 Friendly Atmosphere: See what our club is all about within our welcoming paddling community. 

🎉 Who Can Participate: All ages (children aged 8+) and abilities are welcome. Whether you’re young or young at heart, this event is open to everyone.

🔍 What to Bring:

  • Dress comfortably for the weather and wear appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting wet, including shoes. 
  • Cuckmere Valley Canoe Club will provide all necessary paddling equipment, including kayaks, paddle boards, paddles, helmets, buoyancy aids, and a cagoule.
  • Bring your sense of adventure and a willingness to try something new!
  • Arrive at the Barn by 5.45pm.
  • Changing facilities are available at the Barn.

💷 Cost: The event costs £20 per person, which will be refunded if you decide to join the club. Full details on annual membership is here.

Limited Spaces – Sign up today for either Kayak or SUP! Sunday Come and Try-it sessions will run once per month during our normal club sessions and Twilight Come and Try-it sessions will be run on alternate Wednesday evenings during the summer.

 

Cancellation Policy for “Come and Try Paddling” Session

We understand that plans can change, and we aim to accommodate your needs while ensuring the smooth operation of our sessions that are led by our volunteers. Please review our cancellation policy below:

1. Cancellations by Participants:
○ Cancellations made more than 5 days prior to the session will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule for a future session.
○ Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 5 days prior to the session are non-refundable.
2. Cancellations by Organizers:
○ In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., bad weather, safety concerns), participants will be notified as soon as possible and offered either a full refund or the opportunity to reschedule.
3. No-Shows:
○ Participants who do not attend their scheduled session without prior 5 days notice will not be eligible for a refund.
4. Refunds:
○ All eligible refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days.
5. Rescheduling:
○ Requests to reschedule must be made at least 5 days before the session. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
