The Club will be running pool sessions earlier in the off-season this year running throughout December. As a thank you to members for their patience during 2020, when the Club has not been able to run as normal, we’ll be offering all members ONE FREE pool session in December only for those with an active membership.
Pool sessions are a great opportunity to improve your skills on the water and build confidence in your boat. It is a warm environment compared to paddling outside at this time of the year, you’ll need only swimwear and maybe a T shirt to paddle in – no heavy kit! You will be more prepared to do things that you are more likely to get wet at – capsizes, braces, rolling and rescues. And the water is clean!
We have three dates for these free pool sessions: Saturday 5th, 12th and 19th December. This booking form is for the 19th December. Junior members should note we have a specific juniors session on Sunday 13th at the earlier time of 11.30am which they will be able to book onto using the free code.
Time: 7.30pm – 9.00pm (please arrive latest of 7.15, ready to go straight in the pool as changing rooms are currently closed). Note the pool entrance is not the main school entrance but is clearly marked off Penland Road, next to Bexhill Sixth Form College. For those with sat nav the coordinates are 50.847780, 0.490654.
Boats and paddles can be loaned out for free. Please contact Darren on darren@cvcc.org.uk
As we are making these places available to members for free, if you are unable to make it, please ensure that you cancel your booking online and also notify the committee by emailing cvcc@cvcc.org.uk to free up your place for someone else.
If all the free sessions are not used, we will allow active members to book additional sessions at £10 per session after they have used their free session.
