🌊☀ It’s the annual Gower sea surf paddle! ☀🌊

Mixed abilities welcome but comfortable in surf & moving water with some surf experience being necessary for this trip.

This is a great weekend for SUP’s and kayaks!  – the group will evaluate conditions each day and confirm suitability for paddling.

There is plenty to explore for non paddling family members in Gower Peninsula.

This is a peer paddle for CVCC members. A peer paddle means that each person is responsible for themselves and their own kit and there will be no lead coach running the weekend.

Staying in the Chaffhouse at Hardingsdown Farm:

Cost is £55 per person for the weekend accommodation at the Chaffhouse.

The Chaffhouse is a perfect base for all holidays in the Gower Peninsula. Situated on Lower Hardingsdown Farm, an organic working beef and sheep farm, which is a stone’s throw away from Llangennith village on the western end of the Peninsula and approximately fifteen miles from Swansea. The cottage are ideally located for us to take advantage of the surrounding coastal and inland landscapes that make up this beautiful area.

The Chaffhouse are converted stone barns, providing warm, comfortable and affordable self catering accommodation. The Chaffhouse sleeps ten people. (Full room breakdown by clicking here)

 

If you prefer to camp, there is a great campsite at Llangennith nearby.

If you are just camping, please book that directly yourselves, but please register as well to let us know you are coming by selecting the non-accommodation ticket. The campsite details are:

Other Information

Put in/Take out: This is a peer paddle with potentially challenging conditions – Suitable for Paddler comfortable in the surf water.

Water conditions: Surf Sea Water for experience paddler.

Sights and features on the trip: Some of us will arrive a day earlier so that we can explore the local area and go on some hikes as Gower Peninsula is a stunning area / go on private lesson for Sup Surf. (to be confirmed closer to the time)

What to bring: Please talk to any of our coaches or any regular that have been to that trip so that that they can share their knowledge.

If you would like to borrow a club boat / equipment, please send an email, with a minimum of 10 days’ notice to equipment@cvcc.org.uk. The email should include what boat and equipment you are asking to borrow, for what purpose and for how long.
