NEW DATE 14 SEPTEMBER due to strong winds forecast for original date.

A paddle for all CVCC members on the Thames taking in Hampton Court. Just under 8 miles round trip.

The trip will be for SUP and kayak. There will be a bit of dodging other boats of all sizes. Plus a lot of swans!

We will be paddling from YMCA Hawker to Hampton Court and back. Last year, it was about a 2-hour paddle up, then a picnic stop for lunch outside Hampton Court, and then a 1.5-hour paddle back. So we don’t need a shuttle.

Parking is free at the YMCA. It is then a short portage to a slipway onto the river. We will meet at 9.30am to get on the water for 10ish.

Get out at Hampton Court is via a shallow mud beach so very easy.

There are toilets at the YMCA. There are toilets, cafe and pubs near Hampton Court.

If you would like to borrow a club boat / equipment, please send an email, with a minimum of 10 days’ notice to equipment@cvcc.org.uk. The email should include what boat and equipment you are asking to borrow, for what purpose and for how long.

N.B. Please book a place just so we know who is coming and so we can communicate with you if the weather is bad and the paddle cannot go ahead.
