A fantastic takeover of Holme Pierrepont Whitewater course, hosted by WAM. Whitewater Action Medway have again exclusively hired the Holme Pierrepont Whitewater course in Nottingham for an entire weekend. Last years event was great fun so don’t miss out if whitewater is your thing.

The course is a great opportunity to learn new moving water skills, progress in playboating and maybe even rub shoulders with some members of Team GB.

See the video for highlights from last year

Feedback from one of our attendee Susanna who attended in 2023:

I would highly recommend a visit to Holme Pierrpoint ww course as interesting and challenging. Id say equal to Legacy or Dart Loop.
Its river fed so difficulty varies by level, today was high but was lower than yesterday.
I made the first couple of drops then failed to hit eddy and went down triple under bridge backwards and fell at last hurdle. 7 bank safety volunteers all day so rescued me and my boat. I recovered my breath watching rest of group on final tricky section then paddled back up Trent to start.
I still missed my eddy second time round but at least this time I found a line through triple to land safely. So I have now done top of HP to match bottom of LV. Dan the coach was excellent am going to see if I can get him at LV.
Facilities seemed good although showers very cold.
Great morning in sun. Made my friends steampunk fashion show in afternoon so all good.
Apparently HP doesn’t normally have bank rescue so this weekend is ideal to try course. I’ll let Phil comment on camping and his experience.
