🌊🚣  CVCC Goes to the Summer Pool for an evening of Paddling 🚣🌊

Are you ready to take your paddling skills to the next level? Don’t miss out on our upcoming pool session where you can sharpen your techniques, build confidence on the water, and have a splashing good time with fellow paddlers! Bring a picnic and drinks to enjoy in the sunshine!☀️

We have booked Pells Pool in Lewes for a kayak pool session on Saturday 15th June 2024  19.00 – 21.00.

Please bring a picnic and drinks to enjoy on the large grassed area next to the pool.

If you have not attended a pool session before, it is a great opportunity to practice paddling skills, these can be regular paddling skills as well as safety and rescue skills, support strokes & capsizing. You can practice any skills you wish, even rolling and playboating.

Spectators are of course very welcome in case you want to bring your family too!

Swimmer welcome too – Just book a normal ticket.

Club Kit Needed:

If you need to borrow any club kit, please complete a loan form, but please be aware that you will need to be able to transport this yourself. We would need at least a weeks notice to ensure the appropriate kayak is selected with necessary gear (BA, Paddle, Cag, etc). Collection can be arranged closer to the date.

Here’s what you can expect:

🛶 Skill Development: Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced paddler seeking to refine your technique, our pool session offers a supportive environment for paddlers of all levels. Our certified instructors will provide expert guidance and personalized coaching to help you improve your strokes, manoeuvres, and rescue skills.

🏊‍♀️ Safety First: Safety is our top priority, and our pool session is the perfect opportunity to practice essential rescue techniques in a controlled environment. Learn how to perform self-rescue and assisted rescues, practice bracing and rolling techniques, and gain the confidence to handle challenging situations on the water.

💦 Fun and Fellowship: Dive into the pool and enjoy a fun-filled session of paddling activities and games with your fellow club members. Whether you’re paddling solo or participating in group exercises, you’ll have a blast while strengthening your paddling skills and building camaraderie with like-minded enthusiasts.

🎉 Community Spirit: Our pool session isn’t just about paddling—it’s also about fostering a sense of community and belonging among paddlers. Connect with fellow club members, share stories and tips, and forge friendships that extend beyond the poolside. We will be joined by paddlers from Hasting & District Canoe Club.

🌟 All Are Welcome: Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or a complete novice, everyone is welcome to join us for our pool session. Bring your own kayak or canoe, or use one of ours—just come ready to dive in and make a splash!

Ready to make waves with CVCC! Don’t miss this opportunity to hone your paddling skills, meet new friends, and have a splashing good time at our pool session.
