🌊🚣 CVCC will be taking part in the Big Clean-Up! 🚣🌊

🕗 Time: 09:30 – 12:00 for On the Water Crew and 09.30 to 11.00 for the Walking Crew (with arrival at 09.00 as regular session to get ready).

🕗 There will be briefings for both On the Water and Walking Crews at around 9.20 am

📍Location: Seven Sister Canoe Centre, Seaford, BN25 4AD

What to Expect:

📅 This year’s Big Paddle Clean-Up will be from 25 May to 9 June and our club will run it on the Sunday 2th June 2024

🚮 The Big Paddle Clean-Up will return for two weeks of action to continue the mission to improve our precious blue places.
In 2023, over 2,600 paddlers took part in a bid to clear their local waterways of junk and plastic pollution, while raising more public awareness of the issue.
About 1,800 huge sacks were filled containing 6,767 plastic bottles, 2,739 glass bottles, 4,403 cans and 7,682 food packaging items.

🎉 Who Can Participate: This event is open to all members’ family & friends – all age welcome. 

🔍 We are in a unique position as paddlers as we can collect plastic from places others are unable to access. By taking part in a Paddle Clean-Up you’ll be:

  • Helping to minimise pollution and improve the health of our waterways
  • Helping to protect wildlife
  • Connecting with nature
  • Enjoying the wellbeing benefits of being in blue spaces

🚣‍♂️ No need to book: Please just turn up at the club at the usual time and sign up for the Clean-Up session! Looking forward to seeing you there. 🌟

🥾 Walking Crew Clean Up: In addition, we will have a walking crew led by Karen one of our most Environment passionate club member. This is open to Non-Club Members as well to Members’ Friends & Family. If you are walking please register your attendance 🙏

As a thank you for participating in the Walking Crew Cuckmere Clean Up, we would like to invite you for a complimentary 30 min taster session between 11:00 – 12:30 on the water supported by our Volunteer coaches.

Tea & Biscuits will be serve as an additional thank you from 12:00
