The Big Paddle Clean up is a big event for British Canoeing
We, as a club are joining together with Buzz Active and the South Down National Park to clean up the river, meanders, river banks and tow path. This is our local river paddling spot for the club.
We will have boats on the water, and bags, gloves and litter pickers. Just come along and help the environment, so we have a nice clean space to paddle. It will be great to have some walkers on the tow paths and fields.
The plan is to set off at 10am. All are welcome. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided at the end as a thank you!
British Canoeing
Help us to protect the places we love to paddle from plastic pollution by organising or taking part in a paddle cleanup from 4 – 12th June.
We want everyone to have access to blue spaces and enjoy the many benefits of being out on the water. But our waterways are in crisis from plastic pollution. As paddlers, we can make a real difference to our blue spaces as we can access those hard to reach places and remove plastic from our waterways.
