🌊🚣‍♀️ It’s Time for the Big Splash! 🚣‍♂️🌊

Fun, Games, and BBQ for friends and family at the Barn!

Since blue algae ruined our plans for Friends & Family Day, this year we are making Big Splash even bigger.

It will be the usual relaxed, family-friendly morning packed with games, laughs and friendly competition out on the Meanders! We will be adding the chance to try out lots of different crafts and will be ending the day with a chilled BBQ in the field (bring rugs/ chairs).

🎉 What’s Happening:

  • Breakfast bacon rolls – donations for all food by card/cash
  • Fun and Games for all ages – including grown-up competitions
  • Try-out sessions with different crafts – coaches will be on the Meanders to lead short trial sessions so you can get a feel for different boats: kayak, playboat, sea kayak, canoe, SUP
  • Open to Friends & Family – members can bring guests free of charge! (Please book below)
  • BBQ with burgers –  stay for the afternoon and keep playing in the water or chill in the field with BBQ. Bring your own drinks and picnic gear.

🕘 Timings

Breakfast rolls 9 -10am

Activities begin on the water about 10am

Games and formal sessions on the water wrap-up about1pm.

Afternoon with food, chat and popping in and out of the water.

📌 A Few Notes:

  • This is not a regular coached session – it’s all about fun and games
  • Please bring your own paddling kit if you can
  • No need for experience – all are welcome
  • No standard sessions will run this Sunday
  • Please book so we know numbers for catering. (No-one will be turned away if it is a last minute decision to join in!)
  • If baking is your thing, please bring cakes to share in return for donations.
  • All donations will be used to fund Big Splash and an excess with contribute to securing new equipment for the Club.
