Give us a try before joining!
We know we are a friendly Club, but don’t take our word for it! Give us a try before you join…
Come and try sessions
Through the summer, we run taster sessions as part of the British Canoeing Go Paddling campaign. Run by our volunteer coaches, these 2hr sessions give you a taste of paddling and of our Club.
The cost is £15 per person and they are open to anyone aged 8+. We run them every other Wednesday evening from May to August and on the occasional Sunday morning. Check out the Events calendar for dates and to book.
Pop down on a Sunday
If you want to see what we are like without getting your feet wet, then pop down on a Sunday. You won’t be able to paddle but you can meet some members and see us in action. The slipway at the Barn is public access and you will find us getting onto the water at about 10am until about 12.30pm each Sunday (April to October).
Bring a friend
If you know someone who is already a member, then they can book you in to join one of our Sunday Club paddles. For just £10, you can experience a full Club session and make use the Club’s equipment. This is limited to two people per Sunday so spaces do need to be booked in advance, by a member. During COVID restrictions you will need to book a Bring a Friend ticket for the day you want and then also book an extra space on the specific session you want to paddle with your friend. All sessions and Bring a Friend tickets are on the Events calendar.
Join a Club Fun Day
Again, if you know someone who is a member then you can get them to bring you along (for free!) on one of our annual fun days. We have a Juniors’ Day, Women’s Day and Big Splash on different Sundays during the summer. Each of these events is full of games, skills and usually tea and cake. Check out the Events calendar for dates. A member will need to book the event.
Usually from January to March, we run pool session each Saturday evening at Seaford Head Pool. These can be booked by non-members for £20 per person. The sessions are open to complete novices, people wanting to get back into the water or paddlers who want to develop a particular skill, such as rolling. Check out the Events calendar for dates and to book.
